Family Tradition
Gerdes Auto & Truck Sales and Service started on December
28th, 1967 by Hank and Cindy Gerdes. They were located at
202 W. Main Street in Amboy until March 15th, 1987, when they
moved to their present location.
Bill Gerdes purchased the property and business on December
31st, 2003, and after being partners with Hank and Cindy for
five years, he became sole owner and operator. Hank retired
in April 2001, and Cindy retired in November of 2003. They
both still help out around the shop from time to time.
The used vehicle inventory has been expanded to include nearly
new cars, trucks, vans and SUV's. Many of these vehicles come
with remaining factory warranties.
